Dont Wake the Kitty Spawn Board Colors
A pocket decoder for the plaza lights so you stop camping the wrong beep.
Players keep asking what the colored flash on a Dont Wake the Kitty board means. The countdown number is half the story. The color tells you which rarity is about to hit the floor. This tool is the decoder. The geography lives on map and spawn timers. The hunt lives on how to get mythic.
We do not invent a datamine. Colors below are what players call out in live sessions: a red flash for mythic, a black flash for secret, a purple flash for exclusive. If a patch recodes the lights, trust the live board over this page and check changelog.
The color table
| Light | What players treat it as | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| Red | Mythic about to spawn | Pre-clear an exit, grappler out, lock ready at home |
| Black | Secret window | Same as mythic — rarer, more raid heat |
| Purple | Exclusive window | Play Time / Huggy-class bait; lock even if the tick is only A |
| Neutral / no flash | Common lap or a numbered legendary sign | Read the text; do not invent a color |
Legendary windows are often written on the sign (“legendary in 32 seconds”) without a special flash. Do not wait for red if the text already named Legendary. The rarity ladder still decides what you keep.
How to use the table in five seconds
- Face the plaza from your door.
- Find the nearest board. Read the number first, the color second.
- If it is red or black and under 15 seconds, cancel a Common steal. Path home empty if you must.
- If it is purple and your plot has an empty back pad, contest it. If your plot is unlocked S-tier, skip and protect.
- If three avatars are already stacked on the light, pick another board. Crowds wake giants.
That is the stealth checklist with a color filter.
Why colors beat wandering
Dont Wake the Kitty’s plaza is small. Walking every edge looking for a glowing Exclusive wastes the window. The board is the legal ESP. Scripts that paint boxes through walls are the illegal one — see executor safety.
A Common in hand when red hits is a failed mythic. Drop the Common before the beep if the pad at home is full of worse stuff and you can make the grab. If you cannot make the grab, keep the Common. Empty arms during a contested mythic is how you leave with nothing.
Shop versus board
Some mythics sit in a shop prompt (players have called out a Princess Kitty buy). Board colors do not cover the shop. If a nameplate is on a vendor pad with a cash price, that is a purchase, not a steal. Rank it with named kitties and best income after you see the tick.
Admin Abuse caveat
During Admin Abuse the plaza can flash every color at once. Treat every light as contested. Pre-lock. Do not decode colors while a giant is already standing. Decode after Z’s return.
If the colors disagree with the nameplate
The model in your arms is the truth. A purple flash that drops a Common is either a misread or a patch. Screenshot the nameplate, place it, then write it off as a miss. Do not vendor an Exclusive because the light looked wrong.
Pair this page with map and spawns so you know where the board sits, and with how to steal so you still approach from the sleep side. Color without an exit vector is just a prettier wipe.
Print the table on a second phone. Red = mythic. Black = secret. Purple = exclusive. Number = when. Door = home.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for stealth runs, steals, and base defense.
What does a red spawn light mean in Dont Wake the Kitty?
Players treat red as a mythic window. Pre-clear an exit and be there before zero. Confirm the nameplate when it lands.
Is black better than red?
Black is called as Secret — usually rarer. Both are S-tier raid bait. Lock either.
Do legendaries have a color?
Often the sign just writes the word and a timer. Do not wait for a flash if the text already says legendary.
Can I use this instead of ESP scripts?
Yes. That is the point. Boards are in-game. Injectors are not. See executor safety.
