Dont Wake the Kitty How to Protect Your Base
Locks, upstairs pads, and why your Mythic should not live on the front step.
How to protect a Dont Wake the Kitty base is the unglamorous half of stealing. Five-player servers, proximity Steal prompts, and a lock that may cost Robux mean your plot is a store window. This page is how to stop the window from emptying while you hunt a legendary.
If you have nothing on pads yet, getting started matters more. Once a Rare exists, stay here.
Know the threat
Other players can walk onto your plot and hit Steal on your kitties unless a lock is active. Some clips show a paid steal even through a lock; treat “lock” as friction, not a force field. The number 49 Robux showed up in beginner sessions as a lock/steal price — it can change. Read the prompt before you rage.
World giants can also wander in if you kited them home. That is an escape problem that becomes a protect problem when the hitbox clips a pad.
Placement beats cosmetics
- Front pads: bait Commons or empty. Raiders check the door.
- Back pads: Epics and Legendaries.
- Upstairs / second floor: Mythic, Secret, Exclusive. Commenters on long sessions mention a second level reached by stairs. If your plot has it, use it.
- Do not line S-tier in a row facing the plaza. That is a catalog.
The best income page tells you who is S-tier. This page tells you those kitties go in the closet, not the porch.
Lock hygiene
Lock before you leave the plot, not after you already see a stranger on the mat. If you will not spend Robux, you must be the lock: sit in the doorway, slap tool out if you have one, and cancel hunts when the server is sweaty.
AFK is how Mythics migrate. If you need a snack, lock or leave the server. Offline plots may still be stealable depending on the current patch — assume they are.
Social rules that save pads
Play with friends on the same five-person server and park plots adjacent. A trusted neighbor is better than a lock you forgot. The game is online multiplayer, not split-screen; invite via Roblox as usual.
Do not advertise your Secret in chat. Index flexes are how raids start.
When you are the raider
If you came here from a “how to steal from bases” search: look for unlocked front pads, do not tunnel a locked Mythic you cannot afford, and do not leave your own house naked. Base PvP is a trade. The how to steal page covers the prompt; this page is why people hate you afterward.
After a successful defense
Upgrade the kitty they tried to take. A failed raid is information: that pad is valuable. Feed it using the upgrade planner. Then move it further back.
Check Admin Abuse nights. Locks matter more when the server is full of lucky spawns and desperate carries.
Protect is a loop: place well, lock, hunt, return, re-lock. Skip a step and the tier list was just a shopping list for someone else.
Solo versus friends
Solo, you are the camera. Glance at the plot every time a chase ends. Friends on the same five-player server can sit in your doorway while you hunt a board. That is still online multiplayer, not a local couch session — they have to join the Roblox server. If they leave, lock immediately. A “we were just in voice” excuse does not put the Mythic back on the pad.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for stealth runs, steals, and base defense.
Does the base lock stop all steals?
It adds friction and often blocks casual grabs. Some prompts still ask for Robux. Read the in-game text; it can change with patches.
Where should I put my Mythic?
Back pad or upstairs, then lock. Front step is for Commons you can stand to lose.
Can friends guard my plot?
Yes. Five-player servers let a friend sit on your door. That is still online multiplayer, not local co-op.
I got raided while AFK. Now what?
Refill from world spawns, move valuables back, lock before the next break. See how to steal to rebuild faster.
