Dont Wake the Kitty Kitty Rarity Tiers Explained

Rarity is the first filter in Dont Wake the Kitty. The steal prompt, the pad sign, and the map countdown all speak this language. If you mix up Epic and Exclusive you will either vendor a trophy or camp a Common for ten minutes.

This page is the dictionary. Income numbers live on best income. Names live in the kitty index.

The ladder

Common. First steals. Pond-dog-style critters, basic bows, cheap Hello Kitty variants. Giants barely care unless you step on their foot. Fill pads, then replace.

Uncommon. A small step up. Some named Sanrio friends roll here (a plain Badtz-Maru, a quiet Pompom). Still a teaching rarity for how to steal.

Rare. Ghost Kitty, early themed Hello Kitties, brighter palettes. You will start seeing other players contest these. Do not jog past a Rare because you are “waiting for mythic” with an empty plot.

Epic. Gamer, Fairy, Zombie, Nerd, pencil Kitty, frog-adjacent event rolls. They look index-complete and they pay like it if you upgrade. Epic is the first rarity worth a short chase.

Legendary. Angel Kitty, named legendaries, many board spawns. Signs on the map telegraph “legendary in 32 seconds.” That timer is the whole mid-game. Read map and spawns.

Mythic. Evil Kitty and similar. Rare boards, loud visual FX, loud players. Treat a mythic carry like a boss fight: grappler equipped, path pre-cleared, lock ready at home.

Secret. Event or index rewards. Sometimes fused, sometimes hidden in a corner spawn. Secrets sit at the top of the tier list because they are scarce, not always because the pad math beats a stacked Legendary.

Exclusive. Play Time, Huggy Kitty, and other labeled exclusives. Not always stronger than Mythic, but they are collection bait and raid bait. If the sign says Exclusive, assume someone will test your lock.

Rainbow / chrome / event modifiers. A Rainbow Hello Kitty is often a Legendary-tier earner with a paint job. Event modifiers (holiday, Admin Abuse luck) can slap on top of any rarity. Rank the pad number, not the adjective, when they disagree.

How the game tells you the rarity

• Nameplate on the stealable kitty
• Pad sign after you place it (level 1, 2, … plus cash tick)
• Map boards counting down legendary / mythic / secret
• Index ticks when a new variant is first placed

If the nameplate and the board disagree, trust the nameplate on the model you are holding. Boards can be advertising the next spawn, not the kitty at your feet.

Guard rarity is a different axis

The giant sleeping Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll are not rarities you collect by punching them. They are zone bosses. Waking them drops your steal and maybe your run. Their “rarity” is threat, covered in how to escape.

Index versus wallet

Filling the Index is a real goal — Hello Kitty variants and Sanrio friends are written for collectors. A complete Index does not mean you should keep a Common on a premium pad. Park trophies upstairs or on back pads; keep front pads for A/S income.

Event rarities move

Admin Abuse can flood Legendaries for an hour. That does not make Legendary into Common forever. After the event, spawn rates snap back. Do not vendor your only Mythic because the server was raining Angels for twenty minutes. Check Admin Abuse and the changelog before you rebuild the plot.

When two rarities pay the same, keep the one that is harder to replace. A Rainbow you cannot find again beats an Epic that spawns every lap. That is the whole secret of this list.
